Operation Christmas Child at NTPC
With the help of Samaritan's Purse, we are sending gift-filled shoeboxes in Jesus' name. Their mission is to demonstrate God's love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan's Purse partners with churches worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
How can you help?
Donate $12! That is the cost to process and ship one box to another country. It can also go towards ministry materials such as the Greatest Gift booklet and the Ministry Partner Guide.
Fill a shoebox!
How do I fill a shoebox?
Include a "wow!" item such as a sports ball or stuffed animal.
Include personal items like a comb, toothbrush, band-aids, or washcloth.
Add in school supplies. Pencils, erasers, pens, paper, a pencil case, a calculator, or a geometry set are great examples.
Pack some clothing, hats, sunglasses, shoes, a backpack, or hair ties; they can be a great help.
Crafts and Activities: a puzzle, an instrument, a sketchbook, watercolours, a jump rope, or a sewing kit.
A personal note to the child. This can be prayers for the child, some information about yourself, or a reminder of Jesus' love for them.
Things not to include:
Anything edible (candy, food, gum, etc.)
Gels or liquids (like toothpaste)
Breakable items
Used items
Playing cards (those with a face card of Queen, King, and Joker are not always culturally appropriate)
Medication or vitamins
Toy weapons or military figurines (anything that implies hunting, fighting, or war is inappropriate and triggering to many of these children)
Where to start?
Pick up a box or two at our church, fill them, add the label, and return them to us before the collection date!
Our 2026 Collection Date is Sunday, November 15th.
