Summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to start thinking about fun and enriching activities for your children. One of the best ways to engage kids during the summer months is through Vacation Bible School (VBS). This year, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, laughter, and lasting friendships.

What is Vacation Bible School?

Vacation Bible School is a short-term program held during the summer months, designed for children to learn about the Bible in a fun and interactive way. VBS programs include:

  • Bible lessons that teach important values and stories

  • Arts and crafts to encourage creativity

  • Games and activities that promote teamwork and physical activity

  • Music and worship to foster a sense of community

These programs are led by a dedicated group of volunteers and are open to children of all backgrounds, making it a wonderful opportunity for kids to explore their faith and make new friends.

Why Should Your Child Attend VBS?

1. Spiritual Growth

VBS provides a unique environment for children to learn about their faith. Through engaging lessons and activities, kids can explore biblical stories and principles in a way that resonates with them. This can lead to a deeper understanding of their beliefs and values.

2. Building Friendships

One of the most significant benefits of attending VBS is the opportunity to make new friends. Children will meet peers from their community, and the shared experiences can create lasting bonds. The friendships formed during VBS can extend beyond the summer, providing a support network for kids throughout the year.

3. Fun and Engaging Activities

VBS is designed to be fun! With a variety of activities, including games, crafts, and music, children will be entertained while learning. The interactive nature of VBS keeps kids engaged and excited about coming back each day.

4. Safe and Nurturing Environment

Parents can feel confident knowing that VBS programs are held in safe, supervised environments. Trained volunteers ensure that children are cared for and supported throughout their time at VBS.

What to Expect at Our VBS

Theme and Schedule

This year, our VBS theme is “Rain-Forest Garden!” Each day will focus on a different biblical story that highlights adventure, courage, and faith. The schedule will include:

  • Morning Sessions: Explain the theme of today's lesson, engage in worship songs (and dance!)

  • Afternoon Activities: Outdoor games, bible lesson, crafts, mini-movie, and snack time

  • Pick-up and Drop-off Times: Parents/Guardians need to be prepared to sign their kids into the program at 9 AM and sign them out at 4 PM

    • NOTE: Children cannot leave the premise until their adult has come into the building to sign them out

Age Groups

We welcome children from ages 5 to 11. Our program is designed to cater to different age groups, ensuring that each child receives age-appropriate lessons and activities.

  • Have middle school children who still love VBS? Consider volunteering as a group leader! (Contact information below)

Donations

If you are unable to volunteer your time, consider donating supplies or funds to support our VBS program. Every contribution helps us create a memorable experience for the children.

Preparing for VBS

What to Bring

To ensure your child has the best experience possible, here’s a quick checklist of items to bring:

  • Sunscreen: Protect your child’s skin during outdoor play.

  • Comfortable clothing: Dress your child in clothes suitable for active play.

  • A positive attitude: Encourage your child to be open to new experiences and friendships!

What to Expect on the First Day

On the first day of VBS, parents should arrive early to complete registration and meet the staff. Children will be placed in a group and introduced to their leaders. The day will kick off with an exciting opening session, setting the tone for a week of adventure and learning.
